How To Start A Crayons Project

It's difficult to imagine a preschool, kindergarten or first grade without crayons, but this is the reality for these classrooms.  Used chalk, pencils, and erasers are also needed. We display photos on our site of actual classrooms and give any additional information that you may request. (Click on Photos of Classrooms in the menu above).

`The Crayons Collection Guide contains steps to starting the crayons collection with your classroom, school or group.  It's simple -- participants collect used crayons for preschoolers who  have none.     You can collect a little, you can collect a lot. 

Different Ways to Collect Crayons:

Classroom Collections very often get started by calling 1-888-591-0567.   Some are into their third to sixth year of collections and have found creative ways to run their campaigns.  However, AFRICA Seed, Inc. needs to be notified of the collection in order to:

  • send updated addresses and mailing labels
  • notify schools or The District Education Office or other contact to be on the look-out for the supplies 
  • ensure that the packaging/amount will not be a problem for the receiving parties' postal system, not to mention to give our thanks for the effort.
